Intern Spotlight: Scott Pfaff

At Bravera, we pride ourselves on being a learning organization that invests in growth and development. Intern, Scott Pfaff, has been hard at work learning about working in an IT Department. Here is what he had to say about his time with the team in Bismarck, N.D.:

What made you interested in having an internship with Bravera?
I was interested and excited to start an internship with Bravera because they were willing to teach me and did not limit me just because I am an intern. I do much of the same work I would have done if I were full-time. Another thing that I liked about Bravera was that they are willing to work around my school schedule and be flexible.

What new knowledge have you gained from your internship so far?
I have learned many new things in my internship. The biggest thing that I did not understand was that sometimes problems that seem big can be fixed by a simple solution. I have also gotten to work with physical pieces of equipment, which has allowed me to better understand the bigger picture of IT.

What has been the most rewarding part of your internship?
The most rewarding part of my internship is working as a team. We are all very independent and do our things, but if I ever need help with anything, I can call anyone, and they are excellent at guiding me through issues. Also, nothing is better than knowing a solution to fix someone’s problem.

What would you say to a student who is thinking about applying for an internship with Bravera?
I would tell a future student to intern with Bravera because of the culture. Everyone's cheerful and friendly attitudes make each day enjoyable. In addition, an internship is great because it can provide a future job within the company or a great learning experience you can take with you as you move on elsewhere.
