Rylee Bowers joined Bravera Bank in January of 2022 as a Relationship Banker. Rylee is a graduate of Mandan High School and is currently attending Bismarck State College for Accounting. She is completing a rotational internship this summer and is job shadowing with different departments at Bravera. 

What made you interested in an internship with Bravera?
My decision to choose Bravera for my internship was driven by its unique and dynamic work environment. Bravera’s unwavering commitment to its employees and culture resonated with the values I hold in a work setting. The opportunity to work across various departments and the guidance they provide in shaping one’s career path further solidified my choice.

Why did you want to do a rotational internship rather than a department-specific internship?
The rotational internship provides a comprehensive view of the company and how it operates. It allows me to explore different departments, understand various functions, and develop a versatile skill set. This experience is invaluable for gaining an understanding of the business and identifying areas that interest me. Additionally, it helps in building a diverse network within the company, which can benefit my future career.

So far, what has been your favorite part of your internship?
My favorite part of the internship so far has been the opportunity to work in several departments, where I experience and observe how each individual has their own tasks, but they all work as a team to complete them. Collaborating with different teams has been rewarding, as it has allowed me to learn from various perspectives and enhance my knowledge. It feels like a family, which is one of the many things I love about Bravera!

What advice do you have for other employees considering an internship with Bravera?
Be open-minded to the opportunity and build relationships with colleagues across different departments. Networking can open doors to new opportunities and provide support throughout your future with Bravera!
